Pastor Ifejola Opara Marks Birthday by Touching Lives: Gratitude Outreach 5.0 in Abuja

Date:

Abuja is set to witness a remarkable display of compassion and community service this Saturday, 29th November 2025, as Pastor Ifejola Opara marks another year of life by leading the Gratitude Outreach 5.0. The event, which has become a signature initiative of the Cause a Smile Initiative, reflects Pastor Opara’s enduring commitment to serving underserved communities and transforming lives through acts of kindness, medical support, and spiritual guidance.

The Gratitude Outreach was originally launched in 2021 as part of Pastor Opara’s 40th birthday celebration. What began as a personal mission to give thanks by giving back has evolved into an annual initiative that has now reached thousands of people in Nigeria. Over the past four years, the program has provided essential support including food, clothing, medical supplies, counseling, and spiritual encouragement to over 7,000 beneficiaries.

Speaking on the significance of the outreach, Pastor Ifejola Opara said:
“Gratitude is not just a feeling, it is an action. Every year, I have used my birthday as an opportunity to give back, to serve, and to remind our communities that hope, care, and faith are never out of reach. This year, as we celebrate Outreach 5.0, our goal is to reach over 3,000 individuals in Abuja, offering medical care, welfare support, and moments of genuine human connection to those who need it most.”

The past editions of the Gratitude Outreach have been marked by increasing impact and innovation:

  • In 2021, the first edition provided medical checkups, basic medication, eyeglasses, and health talks, reaching 1,000 people.
  • In 2022, over 1,500 beneficiaries received food, clothing, and care packages.
  • By 2023, nearly 2,000 people benefited from enhanced volunteer participation and expanded medical and counseling services.
  • In 2024, the initiative reached close to 2,500 individuals, combining welfare, spiritual support, and comprehensive care packages.

This year’s Gratitude Outreach 5.0 continues the legacy of impact, introducing expanded medical services including minor surgical procedures, strengthened welfare distribution, and enhanced support for spiritual growth. Pastor Opara’s personal philosophy of combining practical help with emotional and spiritual guidance has resulted in over 4,000 lives being brought into faith commitments, many of whom have been linked with local churches for continued mentorship and growth.

The initiative exemplifies how a personal act of gratitude can evolve into a far-reaching movement, touching lives and fostering hope in communities. Pastor Opara’s model emphasizes that generosity, leadership, and service are contagious, encouraging others to participate in acts of kindness and community upliftment.

The Gratitude Outreach 5.0 is an open invitation to volunteers, well-wishers, and community members to join Pastor Opara in making a difference, not only in material provision but also in emotional support and spiritual guidance. This year’s edition promises to raise the bar, continuing a legacy of hope, compassion, and transformation that has grown over five remarkable years.
