Educator and children’s ministry leader Yejide Ipadeola is taking her Children & Teen Workers Conference to Ibadan for its second edition, continuing her work of equipping those who teach, disciple and raise children and teenagers.
The conference, organised through Kids On Fire, will hold on September 25 and 26, 2026, at Davidic Generation Church, No. 7 Farayola Layout, behind Bodija Market, Ibadan, Oyo State, in collaboration with Catalyst Children Network International.
Themed “The Awakening” with the focus “Dressed for the Fight,” the conference will bring together children and teen workers, pastors, teachers, parents, ministry leaders and educators for two days of teaching, practical equipping, worship, prayer, activation, impartation and networking.
The gathering comes at a time when children and teenagers are growing up in an increasingly complex environment shaped by digital culture, social media, artificial intelligence, questions around identity and competing influences on their faith and values. For Ipadeola, the conversation must therefore extend beyond teaching children to equipping the adults responsible for guiding them.
Ministering at the Ibadan edition are Gbemisola Agbato of Solid Teens and Youth Initiative, Yejide Ipadeola of Kids On Fire, Opeyemi Odunola of Graceful Oaks, and Julie Beemer of Club 1040.
The Ibadan conference follows the inaugural Lagos edition held on June 20, 2026, which brought together children, teen and youth ministry workers, pastors, parents and teachers under the theme “The Awakening.” The Lagos conference featured Debola Deji-Kurunmi of Fire Brand Kids, Becky Fisher of Kids in Ministry International, Gbemisola Agbato and Ipadeola.
Speaking about the conference, Ipadeola said:
“We cannot afford to treat children and teen ministry as business as usual. The world our children are growing up in is changing, and those entrusted with them must also be willing to keep learning and growing.”
She added that The Awakening was created to equip, refresh and empower those serving children and teenagers with renewed vision and practical tools.
Through Kids On Fire, Ipadeola’s work extends beyond direct ministry to children. The organisation develops books, devotionals, curricula and other learning resources while creating spaces for parents, teachers and ministry leaders to learn, develop their skills and strengthen the systems through which they serve young people.
With the second edition in Ibadan, Ipadeola is continuing that work by creating another space for those entrusted with the next generation to become better equipped for the world children are growing up in.
